A great project submitted by Ryan James!

Ryan is currently a graduate student seeking his MFA in graphic design, and he's been exploring machines that create or utilize type. Inspired by a quote by Gerrit Noordzij: "Letters are sheer form and writing is rhythm" he attempted to convert a drum into an input device for a computer. It worked! As of now he's programed it to only input as one keystroke, but he's made a flash movie that would take that one keystroke and reveal one letter of a preselected text at a time.
