We caught up with the team at Immersive AV to find out more about their projection mapping installation for Dairygold.
Immersive AV was approached by Envisage to help deliver the technical elements of an exhibition booth on behalf of Dairygold.
The stand was designed for FIE 2017, the global meeting for the food ingredients industry exhibition, held last November in Frankfurt. Their aim was to impress the audience, not only with their products that were available for tasting, but also the interactive technology in their presentations.
Interactivity was key to the entire project. The layout included a mock store sampling counter, a Story Wall and a Pick and Place area. This is where content about their products would appear, activated by different objects like iPads and Video Screens.
Due to the size of the event, the team at Immersive AV, working alongside the team from Envisage, came up with a solution that would integrate across the entire stand.
Bare Conductive Electric Paint was used to paint a 2.5 x 6-metre interactive wall, with the help of Coolux, HMS Media Server and DVI Matrix. They used 3 short throw projectors to control and minimise the space needed for the stand.
The Pick and Place installation used 4 screens controlled by two Datapaths, two PC’s and a Coolux Manager. The content was triggered by RFID disks attached to the objects that customers placed over RFID readers.
A 75” video screen played content about the company. In addition, 4 iPads on Stands allowed clients to gather further company and product information.
The video wall was truly interactive and told the entire Dairygold story – the benefits of the Golden Valleys, the end to end supply chain and product innovation. Both visual and audio interactivity meant that each time an element on the board was touched, a specific sound would play. This meant the conductive paint on the rear had to match exactly the lines and drawing on the front of the display to work seamlessly.
