About Electric Paint
Your design and electronics projects are about to change forever with this easy to use electrically conductive paint. Paint circuits or use as a conductive adhesive on almost anything including paper, plastic, textiles and conventional electronics.

About the Touch Board
Turn your Electric Paint creations into interactive masterpieces. Connect Electric Paint to its 12 electrodes to trigger sounds through its MP3 player, trigger a MIDI note or do much more. Find well-documented code and libraries for optional programming on the Arduino IDE.

Designers and Engineers

Test sensors and build prototypes. Follow our extensive tutorials to help you tune our hardware to your needs. Create a painted MIDI instrument or a custom gaming interface.

Studio PSK’s Polyphonic Playground created a large scale space where every surface was a musical interface.

Creative Agencies

Use Electric Paint and the Touch Board to make an interactive retail space, or immersive environment. Add sound, lights and more.

Visitors to Dalziel and Pow’s Future of Retail triggered sound and projection through screen printed graphics.

Bring your work to life. Paint, screen print or stencil Electric Paint onto almost any surface. Prototype interactive spaces, installations and activations.

Contours, by Fabio Lattanzi Antinori mapped the presence of visitors to a dynamic soundscape.

Printed Sensors

Printed Sensors are precisely screen printed with Electric Paint and coated with a clear seal on top, making them smudge and water resistant. Printed Sensors can be bent to create 3D sensors or cut into custom shapes to fit your project. Each Printed Sensor has 16 exposed (unsealed) nodes, which can be connected to a variety of boards and clips. The intricate pattern on the Printed Sensors has been specifically designed and tested by us for touch and proximity sensing projects. They’re perfect for testing your ideas quickly, without needing time to design your own pattern, or waiting for Electric Paint to dry.

Touch Board Proto Shield

The Touch Board Proto Shield provides an easy and robust way to add functions to your Touch Board, and a multitude of ways to connect to your electrodes. It features screw terminals for wired connections, a convenient ground plane for using shielded cable, a prototyping area and all pins brought up to the shield for your project.

Hi guys. I am trying to connect the touch board to Ableton, sending notes (not CC) using capacitive touch sensing. Somehow when touching the board directly it sends a pulse, but if I use an extension (foil, wire, anything) it doesn’t read a signal. Can you tell me what the issue of the boards communcation here is? Data protocol interference? thanks in advance

    • Bare Conductive

Hello! Have you made sure to restart the program after connecting conductive materials to the electrodes? If not, can you send us images of your set-up at

1,Your paint is water soluble which can’t be used for lo g time how can you over come this?
2,what is the validity(till what time it will conduct) of the paint?

    Lookingforward to ur reply
    Thank you

    • Bibi Nelson

Hi Syed – Yes the paint is water soluble, you can seal it with a waterproof varnish, there is a good project on How to Seal Electric Paint on our Make Page. The paint in general will last as long as the substrate it is applied to, however if it is applied to surfaces or materials that have a lot of mechanical stress such as fabric the paint can crack a little.

  3. Colm Slattery

    Hi guys,

    Great products 🙂
Is it possible to generate different numbers into the computer with a proximity sensor implementing the Touch Board and conductive paint?
ie. like controling a LFO with the proximity sensor and playing sounds with the other hand?
Look forward to hearing back from you,
    Thank you,
    Colm Slattery.

Hello – this should be possible – check out the Touch Board Grapher Tutorial it shows you how to use datastream and you might find the graphing visual useful too 🙂 Also you might find the MiDi Thereamin useful too
