A non-profit organisation, a hospital and a designer came together to create a little something to distract children within a pediatric ICU
From Concomitentes, a non-profit organisation based in Spain, came the idea of creating a "mobile library": an emotional care tool for children admitted to the pediatric ICU.
The team of the Civic Innovation office coordinated and designed this project with the help of the nursing staff of the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria.
The design consists of a box that houses the Touch Board which in turn is connected to Electric Paint sensors via cables. By touching the sensors with a stethoscope, a sound is played via the installed the speakers.
